Lifespeak / / Part 2

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.

1 Thessalonians 11:5, NIV

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.16In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Colossians 4:5-6

When was a time a Christian told you something that was hard to hear but was something you needed to hear?

How and where can Christians improve in the way they speak to or about "the world" ?

How can our words serve as "light" ? How can our words serve as "salt" ?

How should a Christian respond to someone who doesn't want to hear what he/she has to say?

How can we best encourage and build up with our words?
